Imagine living with a condition that refuses to leave.
For people living with chronic spontaneous urticaria, the impact can reach far beyond the visible symptoms. Novartis wanted its internal teams to understand that reality more deeply and see the treatment journey through the eyes of patients themselves.
The starting point was real patient experience, captured through the Living with CSU: Online Patient Insights Report.
Our challenge was to turn those insights into something people would not simply read, but feel.
We created THE UNINVITED, a hard-hitting short film that brought real patient experiences to life and exposed the relentless intrusion of CSU into everyday life.
Launched to coincide with World Urticaria Day, the film became the emotional centre of a wider multimedia campaign designed to increase understanding of the burden of CSU.
And its impact travelled.
THE UNINVITED was strongly received by Novartis teams and welcomed by leading clinicians across EMEA. Its resonance led to the film being translated into French, German, Italian and Spanish, extending the idea into regional markets.
By making an often unseen experience visible, we helped people understand not simply what CSU is, but what it can mean to live with it.
